Nicole Moreggi, LCPC, ACS

Nicole Moreggi, LCPC, ACS, is originally from Connecticut and moved to the Las Vegas area in 2014. She earned her BS in Psychology in 2008, and her MS in Community/Clinical Psychology in 2010 from the University of New Haven in West Haven, CT. Originally licensed in Connecticut in 2014, she became a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the State of Nevada in 2015 and earned her supervision credential as an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) in 2021 and serves as a Primary Supervisor for the LMFT/LCPC Board in Nevada.  Over the past 10 years, Nicole has served as a clinical director and administrator for a variety of mental health settings, is a co-occurring disorders specialist, and is a trained psychometrist in psychological testing.  As one of the original founders of The Psychology Institute of Las Vegas (PILV) she has been an integral part of the foundational values, mission, and success of PILV. At PILV, Nicole provides psychotherapy services to individuals, provides weekly clinical supervision to licensed CPC-Interns, and serves as an executive administrator. Through using her expertise in working with individuals with co-occurring disorders she offers a clear understanding to her patients of how addiction impacts one’s ability to heal from long-standing depression, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders.  Nicole has earned a reputation as a psychotherapist as one who knows how to effectively work with individuals from both a Cognitive-Behavioral and Psychodynamic perspective and her approach to treatment is thorough, direct, and supportive. Nicole is also contracted as one of the only mental health professionals providing services for several professional athletic organizations in Nevada, and often serves as a clinical consultant to her professional peers.  Others view Nicole as a highly knowledgeable, objective, and reliable professional who can provide keen insight into complexities both clinically and organizationally. Nicole is also a trained psychometrist and is a part of the PILV assessment team and a member of our clinical supervision team.  She enjoys working with a large group of professionals who have the ability to think quickly and know how to band together as a team when needed. Personally, Nicole enjoys spending her time with friends and family, and has a competitive spirit who enjoys travel, sports, live music, and Caribbean beaches.

 

Nathaniel Minetto, LCPC

Nate Minetto, LCPC, is originally from Minnesota and moved to the Las Vegas area in 2019.  He earned a BS in Psychology and Law Enforcement from Mankato State University in 2014, and an MS in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University, Minnesota, in 2017. Nate has been a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Nevada since 2019 and has been working at PILV since early 2020.   Nate’s clinical focus is on helping patients integrate their thoughts and emotions that are associated with problems from sources of grief, life changes, and attachment-related traumas and helping individuals reframe their cognitive distortions. He uses a variety of techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Grief-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Attachment Theory and has gained a reputation as a collaborative and intervention focused clinician. Nate specifically enjoys working with those who are active-duty military, veterans, and law enforcement officers who are struggling with trauma related disorders, anxiety, depression, and social adjustments. Always curious to learn more about new therapy techniques and psychotherapeutic interventions, Nate is known to his peers as kind and eager to help others in need.  He is a knowledgeable professional who truly enjoys his clinical work with his patients.  Personally, Nate’s interests include watching and reading science fiction, working with his hands fixing things, and landscape photography. Outside of his work, he spends his time with his family, his dog, and takes the opportunity to be active outdoors as much as possible.

 

Nicole Silk, Psy.D., CDCS

Clinical Dementia Care Specialist
Clinical Supervisor-Assessment Psychologist

Dr. Silk is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Certified Dementia Care Specialist, licensed in both Nevada (2018) and Michigan (2016). She is originally from the metropolitan area of Detroit, MI., and moved to the Las Vegas area in 2019, joining PILV in early 2020.  She completed most of her undergraduate education at Rochester College (MI), finishing her BA at Argosy University-Phoenix in 2010. Knowing that psychology was her passion, she pursued her graduate studies at Midwestern University-Glendale in Arizona and earned an MA in 2012, and then a Psy.D., with a healthcare emphasis, in 2014. Her dissertation focused on, “How fatigue and sleep disturbances impact stress and quality of life” following a study with the Phoenix Police Department. Dr. Silk has worked in outpatient private practice since 2015 and has provided both individual and administrative supervision to master and doctoral level clinicians since 2016. Dr. Silk is currently a Primary and Secondary Clinical Supervisor at PILV and is an approved supervisor for the NBOPE. Her clinical focus includes working with adults with a variety of concerns such as abuse/trauma/PTSD, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, personality disorders, LGBTQ+ concerns, and grief/loss. Her approach to psychotherapy combines both cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic interventions. Dr. Silk’s psychotherapy philosophy is: "Therapy’s ultimate purpose is for it to be a safe place where you can alleviate your symptoms, heal, and begin to strive to make changes to better yourself and your life”. Dr. Silk understands that the success of therapy can very often be determined by the relationship between the therapist and patient. Others appreciate her ability to be open, honest, and direct, as well as make it easy to discuss difficult concerns. In addition to providing psychotherapeutic services, Dr. Silk also provides neuropsychological testing and forensic assessments. She is one of PILV’s Lead Assessment Psychologists with a focus on the evaluation of dementia-related memory loss and also provides presurgical evaluations for chronic pain patients seeking relief through Spinal Cord Stimulator (SCS) trials.  Dr. Silk is known by her peers to be a knowledgeable and skilled psychologist who is compassionate, direct, and thorough. She is someone who loves to laugh and is appreciated for her well-timed playful banter with her co-workers.  Personally, Dr. Silk is an avid 'foodie,' traveler, loves live entertainment, and enjoys the mystical powers of nature.

 

Vivian Stovall, Psy.D.

Dr. Vivian Stovall is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who moved to the Las Vegas area in 2019 and joined PILV in early 2020. Dr. Stovall earned her BA and MA in psychology from Texas Southern University in Houston, TX, 2005 and 2008. She earned her Psy.D. from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ in 2014 and has been a Licensed Psychologist since 2015. Dr. Stovall’s dissertation topic was titled, “In the Aftermath of Trauma: An Intervention Program for Non-offending Caregivers of Abused and Neglected Children”. Dr. Stovall enjoys therapeutically treating patients who struggle with trauma, grief, depression, and anxiety and enjoys working with the LGBTQ+ population. Conceptually, Dr. Stovall approaches treatment with patients from an Adlerian Theory perspective which highlights a person’s sense of belonging, mastery, and relation to family and others, which shapes us as individuals and our approach to life.  Dr. Stovall is one of PILV’s Lead Assessment Psychologists and provides both neuropsychological and neurodevelopmental (ADHD, Learning Differences/Disorders) evaluations and assessments.  Her assessment focus is on helping patients identify and understand their depth of functioning which assists with practical and obtainable treatment recommendations.  She also provides pre-surgical psychological evaluations for those in need of Spinal Cord Stimulator (SCS) trials and implants, and those seeking various Bariatric surgeries. Dr. Stovall provides both clinical supervision and assessment training to other clinicians for both master and doctoral level professionals and is an approved supervisor for the NBOPE.  Dr. Stovall is viewed by others to be an empathic, fair, and an inquisitive clinician who genuinely loves working with patients through a collaborative connection.  She connects easily with others which allows her to consistently maintain strong therapeutic and evaluative relationships with those she treats.  Personally, Dr. Stovall is also a musician and enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her cats.  She loves traveling, tasting new cuisines, playing the trumpet and guitar, and stays active in finding new and creative mindfulness activities.


Dylena "Dee" Pierce, Ph.D., LCSW

Dr. Pierce is a native of the Las Vegas area and joined the PILV team in early 2021.  Her first career began as a high school English teacher before completing her MSW from the University of Southern California in 2015, becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).  Dr. Pierce earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpentaria, CA in 2020, and her Dissertation topic was titled, “Synchronicity and Death: An Interpretive Phenomenological Investigation.".  She is currently a Licensed Psychological Assistant and qualified for licensure as a Licensed Psychologist in NV and continues to remain a Board Approved Primary Clinical Supervisor for the LCSW Board in NV.   Dr. Pierce is an integral part of the PILV Assessment Team and is now focused on providing both psychological and neuropsychological assessments. She enjoys working collaboratively with others and regularly provides assessments for ADHD and Learning Disorders for both children and adults and provides neurocognitive testing for memory related conditions such as dementia, and memory loss due to chronic medical conditions.  Although her practice is now focused on psychological assessment, Dr. Pierce continues to provide individual psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. She enjoys utilizing therapy methods that include components of Solution-Focused, Gestalt, and Cognitive Behavioral Theories, with an emphasis on Jungian Psychodynamic Theory. Her main approach to psychotherapy is rooted in depth psychology, which is, “The process of bringing parts of the psyche that are hidden in shadow into the light of consciousness”. Through a depth psychology approach, it is possible for the patient to understand patterns of behavior that may be triggered by trauma, or other life circumstances, that create unhealthy responses within relationships, and affects everyday life routines, activities, and events. Dr. Pierce is viewed by her peers as an experienced and quality mental health provider who is both quietly intuitive and playful. When not at work, Dr. Pierce enjoys riding motorcycles and connecting with nature, “to find freedom while traveling to unknown and unexplored destinations and beyond”.


Irina Abramians, Psy. D.

Child Assessment Supervisor

Dr. Abramians is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in working with children through providing Neurodevelopmental assessments.  She moved to the Las Vegas area from Los Angeles, CA in 2017, and joined the PILV Assessment Team in 2021.  Dr. Abramians earned a BA from Cal State Northridge in 2007 and a MA and Psy.D. from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles, CA in 2013 and 2016.  Dr. Abramians’ previous training experience was focused on health psychology and stress reduction and her Dissertation topic was on, “The Effects of Technology on Marital Relationships”.  Through other training opportunities, Dr. Abramians has developed an expertise in assessing children and young adults with Neurodevelopmental Disorders and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Ackerman Center in Las Vegas, NV.    At PILV, Dr. Abramians has been providing neuropsychological and neurodevelopmental assessments to children and adolescents and assists with helping families with recommendations for the future.  The focus of her work is on helping young individuals and their families understand how symptoms related to ADHD, Autism, Specific Learning Disorders, and other behavioral difficulties, can affect a variety of functioning areas and developmental milestones.  Through the emphasis of utilizing both a standardized assessment and non-directive therapeutic approach, Dr. Abramians enjoys the work involved in helping others have a better understanding of neurodevelopmental conditions and provides constructive and applicable feedback. Dr. Abramians is an integral part of the Assessment Team at PILV and serves as the team’s child and neurodevelopmental expert.  She regularly provides supervision and training to other master and doctoral level clinicians who are learning psychometry and child diagnostics.  Dr. Abramians is considered to be an exceptionally knowledgeable professional by her peers who knows how to be approachable and forthcoming.  Personally, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her two daughters, as well as exploring nature by spending time outdoors, hiking, and camping.


Jaydin Wright, CPC-I

Clinical Professional Counselor Intern

Jaydin Wright, CPC-I is originally from Southern California and has recently joined PILV in 2023 as a Clinical Professional Counseling Intern. She earned a BS in Marriage and Family Studies from Brigham Young University; Idaho in 2020 and completed an MS in Counseling from Oklahoma State University in 2023. During her clinical training, Jaydin provided both care management and clinical services to adults and adolescents with severe mental illness and has developed an interest in working with individuals who struggle with trauma-related difficulties. She has a passion for helping others overcome the effects of trauma and utilizes both Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Interpersonal Theory Interventions.  She understands that overcoming trauma is often associated with other difficulties such as anxiety, depression, and addiction concerns, and is currently seeking certification in EMDR. Jaydin is also learning psychological assessment to become a certified psychometrist. Others describe Jaydin as someone who has a natural ability to be supportive of others and creates a therapeutic atmosphere that is welcoming, objective, and nonjudgmental.  Her approach to psychotherapy is focused on helping others achieve positive change in their lives and overcome personal challenges. Outside of work, Jaydin enjoys playing video games, spending time with her family and her dog, and enjoys bicycle riding.

 

Bianca Reaves LCPC, PI

Psychology Intern

Bianca Reaves, LCPC, PI is originally from Michigan and has lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, since 2009. She earned her B.S. in Psychology from Eastern Michigan University in 2008, completed two MS degrees in 2013 and 2018, and is now finishing a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Walden University. She is currently working on her dissertation, “Perceived Stress of Mental Health Therapists During the Covid-19 Pandemic” and has a strong interest in working with those who have overcome trauma. Bianca joined the PILV Team in 2024 and is currently completing her Pre-Doctoral Internship. She has established herself as a valued and professional member of the team by applying her clinical expertise to assist adults and adolescents dealing with trauma and adjustment issues. Bianca plays an integral role in assessment services and neuropsychological testing, and her therapeutic approach focuses on understanding and validation. In her leisure time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her dog, Corbin.
