PILV Postdoctoral Fellowship - Psychological Assistant

​

PILV offers two positions for a one-year, full-time, postdoctoral fellowship: one which specializes in providing psychotherapy and assessment services to adolescents and children, and one with the specialization in providing assessment and clinical services to adults.  PILV accepts postdoctoral fellows that have completed their training and degree requirements from an APA accredited, or equivalent, Clinical (or Counseling) psychology doctoral program.  Postdoctoral fellows will gain valuable supervised clinical and assessment experiences while accruing hours towards licensure. Additionally, fellows will have opportunities to provide supervision to practicum students and interns; as well as, develop teaching and community outreach opportunities. 

 

Postdoctoral fellows will be required to register as a Psychological Assistant with the State of Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners (NBOPE). It is recommended that prospective applicants begin the application process as soon as possible.   • Updated CV, with contact information for three professional references, including at least two familiar with your clinical work. 

  • Unofficial copy of graduate transcripts

Accreditation Status

The Psychology Institute of Las Vegas is in the application phase for membership with the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC).  With the development of APPIC approval, currently, PILV’s doctoral internship and postdoctoral positions meet the standards of the Nevada Psychological Board of Psychological Examiners requirements for licensure in the State of Nevada.
